Update: The feeds page now exists!

We now have RSS feeds. Yes, I said feeds. As in, we’ve added more than just one. They aren’t boring either. They’re rather. In fact, I had quite a long conversation with one today and it told me all about it’s childhood and I just sat that in astonishment that I was talking to an RSS feed.

So for those of you who are feed junkies (or just like to stay on top of things), here’s the first batch of RSS feeds we’re offering. I’ll be creating some more covering some more topics soon and I’ll be adding a nice little consolidated “Feeds” page somewhere on the site so that you guys can easily find all of our feeds and subscribe to them and dance the night away. Ok, I was quite liberal with that title. I don’t know either way if our new search will help you in your dating life. Chances are it will do something for you.Anyway, remember that search link on the top? You know, the one you click all the time to find all your favorite movies. Well we beefed that link up tonight…If you have javascript enabled (which you should, I mean it’s 2007 let us create for you), you’ll see our new ajax search. Heavy web users should recognize this as being similar to searches such as those on Facebook and Google Suggest. This is a search just like those.

In honor of there being a new search, I’ve written a tiny FAQ for you to follow. Of course this is completely preemptive and I don’t know if we’ll get any of these questions. So these may or may not be frequently asked, but I think they’ll frequently answer (something that is).

“Why did you change the search on me?”

• The new search is faster, more efficient and helps you spell. Because it searches as you type, you can see exactly where your typing went wrong.

“Why don’t you just learn how to correct our typing like Google?”

• Because we want to develop other applications and features for IHM and not spend years on doing a search. Search will be something we’re always tweaking and we hope that this will help and provide better efficiency for the time being.

“This search doesn’t work for me!”

• Please email us.

“I want a faster way to get that search open.”

• If on a pc: [ctrl] + [shift] + [s]

“Maybe a fast way to close that too?”

• If on a pc: [ctrl] + [shift] + [x]

Upload something new. Or choose a pre-made.

We’ve put a lot into a cropping system for your pictures so that you can have just the part of the picture you want for your account image. So upload a new picture, pick a new pre-made image and switch it up a bit.

In order to better increase the amount of feedback on the site, we’ve created a completely voluntary survey that’s available to users to fill out. This survey, will allow users to give us direct (yet anonymous) feedback on different aspects of the site as well as hopes they have for future additions.
